My younger sister just turned 13 yesterday. i mean when i turned 13 about three years back i got a cell phone for my birthday. but my dad didn't give my sister a cell phone and now she's really upset. she told me to tell our dad but my dad's like no u don't need it now. i hate to see my sister this upset and i tried getting it for her myself but i don't the money i guess. what should i do? this is one thing my sister wants and she is amazing in studies... Thanks in advance!
You are by far the nicest young lady I have heard of in a long time. Your sister is very lucky to have a sister like you. You are also unselfish and see what is fair and what isn't and that is something that your sister is now learning about you and she should be made aware that if it were up to you, you would make this right. Your father should be made aware that parents should not give to one and not another, it's not fair. These situations can cause siblings to resent each other for the misdeeds of the parents. Your father is lucky he hasn't caused this resentment between you and your sister. He should make amends with his 13 year old if he cherishes her love and respect because this little matter he thinks this is, could ruin their relationship forever. Wish you would let him know how concern you are over this matter and let him read what I have written. Hope this can be resolved in favor of doing the fair thing, by getting her, her cell phone.
