now a days even the with latest xbmc, i can see pictures only in slideshow mode, with an adjustable transition effect.
even by reducing to the lowest transition effect, the pictures will change very slow ??? .
its been almost 2 years since the best [xbox media center 1.1.0 released on 2004-10-17] that was and still is excellent for viewing pictures, so when you choose to change to next shot, it will change on the spot :agree:.

for this reason i have to keep 2 xbmc's on my xbox:
1-the latest xbmc just to watch latest movies.
Is there anything equal to XBMC - Home Theatre::
51 postsMy experiences with MCE have been terrible in general: unstable, slow and lacking in configuration options. Coming from XBMC, I along with everyone I know

2-the old xbmc just to see pictures at fast speed.

the only problem i have in keeping them both, is the xbmc save settings that auto saves on the xbox.
ex. if i start the old xbmc, then it will auto erase the save settings from the new xbmc and will auto create a another for the old xbmc, or vice versa :stare:.

with the latest xbmc, viewing pictures in slideshows is cool, but ppl dont always want to see pictures in slideshows.
Nerrivik - Beta 1 of Amarok 2.0 released! | Amarok::
I get your point of view now. I guess someday I'll get accustomed to it. a new beta or is development currently going slow? the last alpha and this beta

see for yourselves about this, and if you find the same please help me in reporting this bug, so that in the future releases of xbmc, we cant enjoy a single and the most perfect xbox media center.

    thanks in advance.

  • are there any plans to implement "instant" picture browsing). i.e. [d-pad right]=[instant next picture]?

is it already implemented but just not working?

  • sure. but that old version will crap out on 50% of digicam pics, due to memory constraints.

  • and with a build made from latest cvs settings will no longer conflict (atleast thats the idea!)
