Hello all - Im a first time poster, long time reader :)
specs:
Softmodded XBOX 160gb HD XBMC 2.0.1 bling bling ed. (did it for game backups and streaming movies/music from my media server)
problem:
my 3 yr old mashed buttons yada yada yada. Now the MS DASH is the dashboard that comes up ONLY. I cant FTP to it I cant used burned DVD-r's (AID4 didnt work for me, but it could just be me) to make matters worse i have my splinter cell exploit saved on the HD but i gave my copy of SC to a co worker 50 miles away.

i have unlocked it no problems and i have access to another softmodded xbox. a few problems but once i got my ms dash back i was then able to go through to

Otherwise, it boots from the OS (MS Dashboard by default) on the hard drive, and that you have MS to contend with, updates with XBL, dash revisions and hardware

Is There a controller combo to kick me back into XBMC?
If my xbox is softmodded already but i only get the MS DASH now is it still softmodded???
Help a point in the right direction anything!

you should still have your linux profile for Splinter Cell in the Xbox HDD. Load splinter Cell again and try and load the linux profile.

Please note this deletes the MS Dash from C Drive, hence why you have been told Please note if you boot your Xbox and leave the DVD Tray open it will take you

Depending on how you softmodded, if you turn on your Xbox with the DVD tray opener, it should bring you to a safe mode or a Dual boot dash that usually launches an FTP sesh. Try it out I use that feature as a "Safe Mode" Let me know what happens

I tried it with xbox tray open, no dice.
i used the LR back start combo, no dice.
and I do have the splinter cell game save but i loaned out my game to a coworker trying to mod an xbox. (he was told by gamestop, eb games etc that the Action replay was recalled and they stopped selling the exploit games ) any way Im dead in the water till monday I guess. I am open to any other suggestions and thanks again.
