hello i just called outside for my cat to come inside, and i heard him meowing so i brought him inside and i found blood on my hands and on my bed. he is meowing long and he even hissed at me for the very first time, i dont know where he bleeding at but i know that something is wrong since he is the nicest, sweetest cat i have ever had. he was perfectly fine all day long but since i live in the mountains we let him outside all the time, so what could have possibly happened in 3 hours time? any help is appreciated .from the Cat Files.::

It sounds like he has either been hit by a car or attacked by another animal, whether it be another cat or something bigger. You need to find the source of the bleeding and get him to the vet ASAP!! Cats will hiss and act very differently if they are in pain or are injured. Take him straight to the vet!
Could he have gotten into a fight with a wild animal? Check for wounds anywhere on his body. You should call a vet if the cat carries on acting strange.
If he's bleeding that much, take him to the vet ...
and don't let him out...you will pay a fortune in vet bills
and he won't live very long.

BTW. He really NEEDS to see a vet...cats get abscesses
very quickly. I had one that I took in (he'd been a feral).
He had an abscess that burst down to the muscle and almost killed him with the infection. Today (15 years later)
you still can't touch him on that side, 'cos his skin is so tender) Poor babies. No more outside for my little ones.
He might have got in a fight with another animal, the best thing to do was watch him close. and if things get worse take him to the vet.
get him to a vet ASAP! it sounds like he was ether attacked by another animal or hit by a car. try to figure out where he is bleeding and how bad the wound is, but ether way a i'd say a trip to the vet as soon as possible is a must! i wish you and your kitty the best of luck, and i hope he's okay!
Hit by a car, or got into a fight with another animal. If you have clippers you can try to clip the fur a bit, or gently wash him to find the source of the bleeding. That should help narrow it down. He needs to see a vet, period.
anything could have happened! He could have been bit, or caught in a fence, or fallen (cat's can fall too). Try to wrap him in a towel and inspect him for injury. (the towel is to protect you from his claws). Watch out for his teeth though! An injured cat will bite! If you have someone else to help hold him, then get assistance. It's probably a good idea to have him checked by a vet, esp if he's not current with his shots. Good luck! I hope he's OK!
