I use VLC to stream TV to my computer. I have Netlimiter installed as well as OP 3.51.
Stream settings: Video 1024kb/s Audio 96kb/s
Uptime: 35 mins
OP:~446 KB/s 911 MB total
NL:~150 KB/s 280 MB total
It seems as though Outpost is way off on the speed of the connection, the bitrate is ~1100 kb/s total ~ 140 KB/s, where is OP getting 440KB/s from?!?!? If you mean the connection details in Network Activity, then this should be reported accurately unless, for some reason, the process name is being given as n/a (see In the Network Activity window I sometimes see "n/a". What is it? (http://www.agnitum.com/support/kb/article_print.php?id=1000141&lang=en)).
Well maybe its UDP that does it because Skype UDP connections are showing the same symptoms...
If you are talking about the total traffic listed in the Allowed section of Outpost's main window then do bear in mind that (a) this covers all applications and (b) it will include protocol overheads (TCP/UDP/IP headers) which NetLimiter most likely does not. Reason (b) wouldn't account for a 4-fold increase (unless your network settings were seriously amiss) but (a) certainly could.
Nope I am talking about the Recieved column for the connection itself (it was UDP BTW), same with NetLimiter..
Maybe its because it wasnt associated with a process, or its UDP I dunno..
