Hello jim1946-ga,
I think Ive found the Princeton Web page you were looking for. It
doesnt mention a survey, but it gives a detailed table of fees and
expenses for undergraduate students. Its part of the instructions and
information about financial aid. In addition, I also found another
page from PawPoints and the Princeton ID. This is a prepaid card that
can be used for a large variety of campus expenses. The page directed
at parents gives you a table of expected miscellaneous expenses for
Princeton students. I think this is the information you were looking
for, but if not, please dont hesitate to clarify further.
Congratulations on sending your daughter to a prestigious university
like Princeton.

Fees and expenses for the academic year 2002-03
Comprehensive fee $27,230
Room charge $3,912
Board rate $3,930
Est misc expenses $2,888
(books, supplies, laundry, telephone, recreation, etc.)
Estimated total $37,960
The comprehensive fee includes tuition, matriculation, and the use of
the library, student infirmary, and laboratories. The board rate is
for 20 meals a week, and the room charge is the standard for
University dormitories. Estimated miscellaneous expenses include the
residential college fee, student government fee, and class dues. These
last three items, totaling about $500, are billed centrally by the
University for the convenience of the organizations involved. For
students who are not covered under their family's medical insurance,
Princeton offers the Student Health Plan at a cost of $600.
Because the cost of goods and services continues to rise, charges for
2003-04 will be somewhat higher. The increase is expected to be in the
3 to 4 percent range.
