I'm a big fan of step-drills. I've never been able to sharpen them properly. Does anyone know?

Boy I am all over the not going out on weekends because of the crowds. Of course I have nine of my grandkids over today (with parents) for sub sandwiches and now they are running through the sprinklers. That beats a crowded steakhouse any day.

Yes Joey It's really me. I want to take Adam out to dinner for his Birthday but he doesn't want to do anything because he say's it's too hot. Personally I think he's perfectly happy just to sit at home and play on the Forum. For me I get bored seeing him sit in front of his computer all nite!

I am horrible that way. If the movie theater is making a profit I am not comfortable because it is just too crowded. Brenda will take the kids to the movies on weekends but I only take them in the middle of the week. When I do go to the show on weekends I feel like I am flying Economy Class on a full plane.
I say we let our better halves go out together on weekends and we will meet during the week.

I have a 1200X diamond hone that I use for router bits and it does a great job on steps as well. I use the method plumber rick describes - hone flat surface only

I don't mind if rob is on the forum..cause i'am too..i don't reply on the plumbing issues but on the non tool things...and only cause i'm not working but suppose to be studying..kidding..i'm really studying..

I FOUND THAT A DREMEL TOOL WITH A GREEN WHEEL, SILICON CARBIDE WHEEL WORKS GREAT. JUST USE THE FRONT OF THE WHEEL. OPPOSITE THE MANDREL. RUN IT FLAT AGAINST THE INSIDE LIP. YOU'LL NOTICE THAT THIS IS THE FLAT SURFACE. DON'T TOUCH THE OUTSIDE STEPS. ALSO A GRINDING WHEEL TO SHARPEN A CHAINSAW WORKS GREAT ON REAMER BLADES. ONLY TAKES A SECOND TO TOUCH UP THE REAMER.

I am not sure about sharpening them DOG,as I can ream 1000's of 1/2-3/4-1 cuts before they show signs of wear,it has made it's money saved in time spent reaming back 100 fold,I just buy a new one:D
It is still early enough that you can just walk right in. If he stops wasting time and gets up to leave there will be no problem!
