I've got a forum with an old version of vBulletin (2.2.7) and I'd like to update to a newer version - I see now there version 3.6 - but I need that all my existing thread will be available in the newer version. What I need to know if there is a procedure that update our old version to the new one without loss of data (thread + users).
Thanks for your help.
Thanks very much for your replies. :)
Note that any changes to templates or modifications/hacks you've made will be lost. The 2.2.x templates are not compatible with vBulletin 3+. But all your users, posts, usergroups, threads, permissions, and color schemes will be maintained.
It's going to be a two step process.
First you'll need to download and upgrade to vBulletin 3.0.15. From there, you download and upgrade to vBulletin 3.6.1
In both instances you need to run the update scripts. When you renew your downloads access, you'll get access to both versions. :)
