| | I have a Nikon Coolpix S550 digital camera and some video clips that I'd like to edit. I'm looking for recommendations as to the best editing program for this kind of thing. Also, let me know if it's possible to edit for image stability and frame orientation w/ the program you recommend.

Sony vegas is a great lower end program for nonlinear editing. Is has a lot of solid features that are comparable to the bigger dogs, such as avid, final cut pro (mac only) and premiere. It has a bit more of a learning curve than imovie, or windows movie maker but not that bad. I would suggest looking on metacafe.com for video tutorials and in the resources section http://studio.metacafe.com/resources/ Hope this helps.
