Right now my hair's pretty long (6 inches below shoulders) and I want to get it cut because I'm getting really bored with it! I'm asian so my hair is straight, blackish-brownish, and medium-thick so I was thinking layers but not sure how many layers or what type to get. Also, i was thinking soft side swept bangs but i'm kinda scared to get them. Advice? Pictures?

Don't get bangs, you'll get zits...I should know I had perfectly clear skin until I got them...
Try layers it'll make your hair more voluminous.
Also try a wave perm.
It will add dimension to your hair but won't give you crazy curls.
talk to the stylist and ask what the person thinks would look good on you.and for bangs, it usually looks good when you have a big forehead.
Well, your hair is surprisingly like mine [for a black gurl that is] I would say go for something hip not too short, not too medium thats about the same length as your originall hair. Whats fresh and new is the "Celeb look" [if your more inspired by that.] There's Ciara, Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah, and what I personally think is a cute new look is Rihanna, although her's is short you can still lenthen the look instead of going up to the ear short. I think you would do fine. Just be confidant in yourself It will always grow back.
