i just wanted to ask, what raid-level i should use to get a high level of reliability but also speed of my hdd's. I got 4 identical 18.xgb drives, and a hardware raid-card.. that can do raid 0,1,...5, 0+1
but i am not sure which raid-level would be the best. the final size of available space doesn't matter that much yet... but i just wanna make sure that the server still functions and stays online etc...in case one of the hdds fails.. raid 5 will do , the higher raid levels up to 10 are not really applicable to vB on one dedicated server. probably raid 5 (best) or raid 1
