There are so many things that you should do, that it would probably
not encompass a $2 question!
However, here are som guidelines that would fit your pricing of this question:
(1) You should get legal permission to live in France. For that, you
have to contact the nearest French Consulate and get all of the legal
matters sorted out:

The consulates are supposed to give you all the details on what are
the requirements, and what kind of documents you should bring with
you.
Canadians, unlike citizens of EU countries, need permissions (visas)
to stay in France. You can get different visas, depending on your
goal: student's visa (to study in the country), residential visa and
work permit (to live and work, either for a limited period or
indefinitely). However, French Canadians, as people belonging to the
French cultural areas, may find it easier than others.
(2) If you don't know enough French, it should be a good idea to know
the language before you immigrate. If you plan to live in the country,
you should know the lanaguage and the culture.
(3) After you've received a visa from the consulate - even a temporary
one (but one that enables you to work) - to live and work in France,
you have to try to find a job in the country; unless you plan to move
