i am questioning the existence of any religions god/gods or spiritual teachers and i may adopt the more logical and philosophical approach to life i have been contemplating over this for quite some time and have been told by different people "god loves you " "do what feels right " but the thing is i just want an honest answer.

He was annointed and trained as the Maitriya, the next incarnation of the Buddha. AND HE REJECTED IT ALL. He lectured throughout the world about the importance of an insightful clear mind.
Many many educators find his clarity of questioning impressive and inspirational. "take this test" or " say these words" those people just want to get under your skin.
You are thinking for yourself and you are just fine. Just fine.

All youth go through such a stage of doubt and wonder. It's healthy and will make you a stronger believer afterward. How could we know the wonderful taste of sweetness unless we've had something sour? We all go through this; ain't no big thing. Just don't make any stupid decisions in the meantime.
As a Christian, let me encourage you to come to a more logical, and philosophical approach to life. There are two philosophies you can choose from.
1. We are on earth by accident.
2. We are on earth because of intelligent design.
Look at all of the evidence. Is it possible for life to have come about by accident, or natural selection? The most simple form of a cell is more complex than a PC. Do you think that it is possible for that to form from soup? That is what Darwinists want you to believe even though there is no scientific explanation for how this could happen. Once you have the foundation, build your philosophy from there. If God exists, then you were made for God, and god was not made for man.
You want an honest answer to what? That a humanist belief is the correct one? God wants you in heaven, but in order for that to happen you have to give your entire self to His Son, study His word so that you will know what it is the He wants you to believe and do, and then do it. What is so hard about that. But If you 'do what feels right' then you will be doing what they did in the days of the Judges. "In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes." Judges 17:6. They did not do that which was right in the eyes of God. "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15. "And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word." 1KIngs 18:21.
This is my advice to you.
You need to hear from God yourself. If God convinces you, the ideas of men will mean very little to you.

I would tell you to research religions, and see which one fits your core beliefs the best. Or, take a break from it, and see if that helps to clear your mind.
If you can't believe in god yourself, you're beyond help from anyone else. Just go with it. Look at the Buddha and the path he chose: his own. Good things come of independent thought.
We all have to find the best answer, the ones that work for us, and it's perfectly normal to have doubt about religious and spiritual issues. From what I can tell, we are all works-in-progress, but, so far, I can't find anything that's more powerful, important or wonderful than love. Maybe the problem isn't so much about whether God does or doesn't love you; maybe it's about how much you love yourself and what's going on in your life. The truth is, there is a God He is the Alpha and Omega there are NOO other gods....and you can reach out to Him in prayer and He can guide you into a fullness of life...but you have to made the decision to obey Him....God bless and choose life.. thats the truth...
I would advise that you reject advice on the matter.
If you're at a major crossroads in your life and contemplating redefining a major aspect of yourself, it's going to be a lot more honest if you do it as your own decision, not as the sum total of the advice you receive from others (especially internet strangers).
You cant trick yourself into believing something that you do not. You have to read the Bible and make the decision for yourself. What did it for me was reading the prophecies of the old testament that Jesus fulfilled in the new testament. If you want to know the truth first I would search the authenticity of the Bible from the Christian perspective. And they will provide you links to historical sites that show that the old testament has been around since before Christ. Then read what the Bible says, its that simple.
The best thing to do is ask God for help in making the right decision. No one can force you to decide either way. Jesus will guide you if you ask him. I will pray for you.
All kinds of people are going to engage in a tug-of-war with you, trying to get you to come to their side. Just go with your instincts and trust yourself to make the right decision for you. Nobody else can dictate what you believe or choose not to believe.
Here's an honest answer. It's all make-believe and all social norms are man made, but many have a basis in practicality.
For example, "Do not commit adultery."
Fundies will say that God set sex aside for the the marriage bed alone, but practically speaking, this taboo was created at a time when veneral diseases like syphyllis and gonnorhea had entered the human population and there was no cure. Also there was the matter of inheritance by someone who was in fact not of the family bloodline. These issues were addressed by insisting on virginity and placing the death penalty on infidelity.
Today we still have incurable STDs such as AIDs and Herpes II. But also, again speaking as a practical man, if I catch you with my old lady I might kill both of you out of jealousy. Also I think it emotionally damages the spousal relationship and the offended spouse.
In fact I think almost all Biblical taboos can be addressed as having some understandable significance when they were developed and many are still relevant today and you would choose to obey them from self-interest even if not from piety. Don't eat pork (because people develop illnesses like trichinosis and die in agony if it isn't cooked right). Don't eat shellfish (because of paralytic shellfish poison and parasites in shellfish taken in some shallow waters). Let's face it, you can pick up some nasty infections from anal sex, and more importantly it produces no children in a time when the safety of the tribe lay in numbers and most infants didn't live to adulthood, hence the taboo on wasted seed.
So even if you don't believe it doens't leave you with "do what FEELS right." There are many things that are in fact rationally correct to do and not do that don't require Moses and stone tablets to figure out.
Adopt.
In my opinion, logic, though extremely useful, is to be a big assumption to believe it is the only way to observe the universe. So sometimes the most true things in the world are the most illogical of all (ie love, happiness, sadness, anger, purpose, etc.).
So I think it is okay not be logical all the time, as long as you look deep inside.
God does love you. He loves you so much that He gave up his son Jesus to die on the cross for your sins. Before Jesus did that, the wages of sin was death. That meant that we all being sinners eventually died and there was no way to get to heaven. Jesus paved that way with His life and His blood.
Now with that being said...Studying the Word of God in the KJV Bible is your tool, your life's instruction book that not only guides you in life, but helps strengthen your faith as well as your relationship with Jesus and God. Pray and pray often. Don't give up because you don't think your getting an answer fast enough. Stay quiet long enough for the Lord to speak to your heart.Listen to what your heart is telling you.
Talk to the Lord as often as you can through out your day, every day. He wants to hear from you not only when you need something, but when you don't. And thank Him for answering your prayers right after you prayed them instead of waiting before you see any results of your prayers being answered. This shows the Lord that you have total and complete faith in Him and in His will for you. Don't let satan win because he's a liar. God bless you.
