What would be a good competition-level paintball marker?

In a sensible price range- less than a thousand bucks, but not exactly a cheap junk pile.

Additional Details

Sorry I didn't specify earlier, but between speedball and woodsball, I'd prefer one that can do both, but mostly woodsball.

Also, if you know of any other parts that need to be purchased such as a better barrel, please let me know! When I said less than $1000, that's including any additional upgrades put onto the marker. are you looking at woods ball or speed ball,

x7's are excellent for woods ball and can be customised but aren't much better than the 15 and are much less expensive

angels are brilliant speed ball markers but i don't think speed ball markers change much for the price past about $300 to 400 bucks For future reference, don't spend more than $500 for any paintball gun. No matter how good it is, it ain't WORTH more than that.

Bob Long Vice paintball gun is a good looking marker, highly detailed three competition and created a loader that anyone can justify adding to their marker.

All the guns Dude listed are good but so are Smart Parts guns. My Ion has never failed me. Tons of people use Shockers and some people still use Impulses and those have been out of production for a few years now.

Any Proto/Dye, Bob Long, Eclipse, Dangerous Power, WDP every marker from these companies are great. All you have to do is stay away from everything that is made by Smart Parts

smart parts are unreliable but its just luck of the draw some people get good guns some from the some people don't. Really an etek(planet eclipse) or vice(bob long) are two really good guns to look in to. and guns over 500 are TOTALY worth it
