When will America's economy return to normal? anyone care to give their opinion on when they think America will become what it has been the whole time i was growing up the leading world power. Does anyone think it is even possible for us to be what we used to and remain the leading world power. In my opinion i think it is a must for the U.S. to remain #1 throughout the world because of the fact that we have so many enemies and if we can't defend ourselves because of a budget and bad econmy other countries may not be afraid and take advantage of that.
Because we have a capitalist economy we have business cycles which produces a recession at least once a decade and our current problems will end in a year or two. We are only losing ground long term vs other countries because they are doing better not because we are doing worse. It is not necessary that billions of people live in poverty for us to be a world power and the fact that many Americas think this probably accounts for the fact the we are increasing dislike by the rest of the world.. We do not need to have a military as big as we do to defend ourselves, we have it to police the world, and it is a burden that would be better shared with other countries. when will american have had enough Video by Corey - MySpace Video::

i agree hopefully our new president will change and fix sum things
I am not an American but if the US is anything like Australia ,then it won't be until after the election,regardless of who wins people will know where they stand will start to rebuild from there.
I am in the Finance industry and every time there is an election even in the growth times business slows about 3 to 6 months before ,and then like a light switch the week after the election it is business as usual full steam ahead.

I just hope there is not shmozzle like last election with the votes in Florida or I fear that would be the last straw and it would be financial armageddon.
Obviously we're in a recession, and there are hopes in getting out of it. People predict that within 6 months that we will be out of this crisis and back on track, but predictions don't get us anywhere. Actions take us places.
The way to get the markets back is by asking (because we cannot demand usage of personal money in the public markets) everyone to invest the same amount of money. The problem is, while everyone is doing this, there's always going to be that one guy somewhere in between who decides not to invest and he ends up reaping all the benefits. People are too stubborn to invest for the good of the whole. What they don't know is, their greed is going to bite them in the *** eventually. When that guy doesn't invest, he gets to keep all of his money while others are short whatever they invested. He stays rich, and the rest are less rich.
That man only cares about his next Malibu beach house, and not an undercompensated working class citizen's high mortgage payments. Because the markets are so bad, there is less money overall, which means the inability for many to pay off their loans. Also, banks are losing money and have to be bailed out by bigger firms and companies to stay alive. People lose money that they've saved in the bank if it's over $100,000. The government only insures your account up to that amount. It really leaves us in a vicious circle. When the markets are down, spending is down, companies lose money, and the markets fall even more dramatically.
But, you have nothing to worry about in terms of war and military actions. Our allies are stronger than our enemies, and they are helping our economic situation. International companies are bailing out banks and other companies, because we supply a lot of military force and security for them. Don't worry, our enemies' economies aren't doing very well either.
The markets are unpredictable. Because of this, there is no telling where the economy is going tomorrow, or next week, or next month, and so on. On Monday, the market went up 11%, more than it ever has in one day, but it dropped 85% of that 11% today.
You can see from that figure that I cannot predict anything accurate, nor can most anybody else (even the professionals cannot). All I can tell you is I am going to do my part in reviving the economy before it dies. You should do your part, and encourage everyone else to as well. If we all chip in, we could be not only a military and governmental superpower, but once again, an economic superpower.
Not unless The US returns to rule by the US Constitution .
