I'd like a tattoo, but I'm afraid it's going to hurt too much. Any advice?
It hurts every where, but it only hurts while your getting it .Good luck
where ever you want it the most.... it's a mind over matter thing. or some place where you have a little bit of padding. Avoid boney places like the ankle or ribcage and places that have alot of nerve endings like the small of your back, underside of your arm, and over your kidneys.
the shoulder or the arm middle part
I have a Lip Tattoo (inside my bottom lip).
I didn't even felt it when I had it done.
Tattoos do not hurt. They just burn a bit and feel like you've been baked in the sun when they begin to heal.
You will realize this when you begin. Matter of fact you'll get addicted if you're a normal person.
I'm 70% covered. I want more, of course I do I love ink. Been getting inked for 21 years and I hope to get more work done before I leave this planet.
:D
Best advice, take your time, seek a professional and make sure the tattoo you get is truely you. Don't just get one to have one. Patience and an idea of yours is best if not a collaboration between you and the artist. Remember the tattooist is also an artist, they'll appreciate the effort between you and them.
And look around, don't go for the first artist you see. Professional and one with a good reputation is best. Make sure you like their style. Too many scratch artists out there who make the experience unpleasant. Getting tattooed is a great experience, please try to give that to yourself. Don't be in a rush, tattooes are forever!
wherever you have a lot of fat
On a fleshy area. A tattoo over bone hurts.
I have one not far from my hip bone but further down by my bikini line, and it wasnt painful at all....maybe cuz I've got a little extra padding there but I am far from overweight. I would suggest that area if you arent skin and bones. I guess that is probably a femine area for tats, so maybe depends on your gender? the only thing that was odd was the sound and vibration of the inked needle. choose wisely,,,its permanent! I' like my spot as no one knows I have it unless I want them to know.
on the back
upper back
Lower back. No bony places so it's not so bad.
Tattoos are painful plain and simple....
shoulder blade and/or shoulder
Tattoos hurt no matter where you get them but the least painful place in my opinion has been my back/shoulder blade and upper arms.
Anywhere fleshy is going to be less painful, but then it also depends on your pain threshold.
Most people say the outside part of your arm. Painful areas would be the parts that don't get much contact. (back of knees, buttocks, inside of arm, etc..)
Upper arm for me. I had to ask the guy if he had started it yet. I didn't feel a thing. Pain is gonna is gonna happen wherever you get it. It doesn't last long. Pick a place that's fleshy like your hip(on the butt side), upper arm, thigh. All good places to start. Stay away from bony parts like the ankles, knees and shins. Probably the most sensitive spot is over the spine itself. Though I didn't have problem with that either. Good luck:)
the least painful...?
im thinking maybe the arm.
