I thought about becoming a camera operator I heard the pay is good and I have been interested in for a long time. I would like to know how to go about it. Thank You.
Go to college and get your degree in Digital and Film Arts. Transformers (2007) - The Crew - Visual Hollywood:: He has worked as one of the leading camera operators in motion pictures, television, in 1987 he cut the Tom Waites' concert film "Big Time" on video. http://www.visualhollywood.com/movies/transformers/crew.phpHOME | AFTER MOOR HALL -- WHERE DID THEY GO:: ROY TURK was a camera operator at Moor Hall Studios and afterwards worked It was being shown with Dirk Bogarde’s first big film and it was great to see http://www.angelfire.com/nj/healing/aftermoorhall.htmlHOME |
With that degree you can do anything film related (director, camera person, screenwriter...etc) You could go to any school (university or community college) I would say go to a community college its much cheeper. You take your basic classes like math and writing and then you take the film classes which are like 'history of american cinema' 'screen writing' and a bunch of others. Conrad Hall: A Tribute:: “Some people choose to be a doctor and then go off and do it. . “I had known Brando from being (second unit camera operator) on Mutiny On The Bounty,” http://www.sensesofcinema.com/contents/03/24/hall.htmlHOME |
