A couple of spots: On top of your arm, knees, shoulders, and upper part of your back.
Some very painful spots: Underside of your arms, your wrists, anywhere on the face, and absolutely anwhere on genitals.
Like the saying," The first one hurts the worst"... I had one on my shoulder.. That didn t seem to hurt badly.. Be sure this is what you want.. Don t run out and get one,all because society says it's "COOL" to get one..

Anywhere on the leg is good, but the side of the shoulder is nice and meaty, so it's not too painful. Here's a tip: Don't hold your breath. I got my first tattoo, and the pain was bearable, but I found I was holding my breath, and I nearly passed out. Drink water, breath, it'll be over faster.
Are you thinking of getting a tatto because you want to show off the artwork, or are you getting one because you think that it will look cool? If you want people to see your tatto, then you have to put it somewhere that is in view all of the time, like smack bang in the middle of your face, otherwise your options are limited. A tat is a symbol of a thought or feeling or mission in life etc. will it be seen, do you want it to be seen . It's not: hey, you got a tattoo: it's hey, whats the reasoning behind your tattoo. tell me about it.
