Which is better with all the addons....like with the xbox 360 live(and what is it) and stuff like that need help by tommorrow morning?

i hear good things about the PS3. i have a PS2 and its pretty good.
i wanted a Wii, but can't afford one yet. but it does also seem to be targeted at a younger crowd.
it depends on what age group your looking for, and the type of games.
Wii do alot of adventrue games, like platform stuff. xbox is well know for it shoot-em-up games, and PS3 does anything.
If you are a casual gamer, the Wii®.
If you are a hard core gamer, the PS3®.
If you are a gamer who likes online play, the xbox 360®

Starting off
The wii
Definitely the cheapest of the third generation consoles, it is made by pretty new technology and a motion sensor motherboard. It has 2000 blocks or MB free i believe. It also has a wireless card built in. The wii is very new it is a revolution in gaming it is not virtual but it is the step in between. It has a great selection of titles. Such as Mario Kart, Super Mario galaxy, Zelda, Metriod prime, and many other up coming titles such as conduit. It is just plain fun. I did not get any game for 2 months and i still had fun. With wii sports. Feels like your really are playing sports.
The ps3
Great technology has a 20GB edition to a 160 GB edition. It has a blue ray player which allows games to be 5 times longer than the longest ps2 games. It does not have many games but has some great ones to choose from such as the upcoming hit HOME, GTA4, Cod4 and its best game Metal gear solid 4. Yes it is expensive but Sony will keep letting games come out for until 2017. And it also has the best blue ray feature in all of the market. It has free online gaming and has a very nice sleek black look.
Xbox 360
The Microsoft 3rd generation console, with a very high power gaming system. It has had some difficulties with hardware failure but it is long gone now. It has the best selection of games such as Fable 2, Cod4, Halo 3, Fallout 3, Saints Row, and many more. It comes in an arcade edition which has no memory hard drive a 20GB, 60GB and the elite which has 120 GB. It is surely the right choice if you are a hardcore gamer. Microsoft also gives a 3 year warranty. Its live feature is great because it allows you to play with people around the world and you can jsut buy a 3 month card which is 20 bucks.

IN the end it really matter what games you like
PS3- is the number one family entertainer,
xbox 360 - is the best for hard core gamers
and Wii is for the ones who want to get a little workout while playing
idk i have both the wii and ps3 i dont like 360 or hate its just ive had my share of the red ring of death....the ps3 is awsome to play great graphics so i could the carnage im making in mgs4 or i can freak out with pikachu in ssbb kicking kirby's butt
but its your opinion pick wutever you'll like the best.....who cares if ppl think the wii is a childs console......its just go for show that some ppl have so narrow minds that they wont open up to a great system that brings new life into gaming.....and the ps3 isn't tht bad either but it maybe a little bit bulky and expensive..... you are better off getting a ps3 because...
- ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player
-ps3 supports 1.3 HDMI which has rich colors and xbox supports 1.2 HDMI
- ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)

- when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it

if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 650 dollars, so that means ps3 is actually cheaper
Let's compare PS3 and XBOX 360:
1). A third of XBOX 360 (33%) are malfunctioning right from the start. PS3 return rate is only around 0.2%. Despite some people say, that new 360 has no breakdown issues - just visit Xbox section of Yahoo answers and see for yourself an amount of complaints.
2). PS3 has 8 (7+1) kernels in Cell processor, Xbox 360 -only 3.
3). PS3 uses advanced tech called Blu-Ray, one disc can store up to 54 gb (in the future - up to 200 gb), Xbox 360 - regular dual layer DVD-9 (8.5GB). It's possible to get HD-DVD (max. - 30GB) for 360, but it'll cost you around 180$, in this case Xbox is going to be MUCH more expensive, than PS3.

8). Graphics are stronger in PS3, due to RSX chip, that was developed by Nvidia exclusively for PS3. RSX runs on 550 Mhz. It's difficult to compare their graphics chips, because 360 has a video chip with totally different structure and operating memory is divided differently in both consoles. However, PS3 exclusives look better than 360's exclusives.
9). PS3 uses technology from AGEIA company. It does to physics of the game same thing GPU (videocard processor) does to graphics. This thing is on sale for PC(special card). The price is around 350$. There is no such thing in 360.
10). Xbox 360 is widely known for so-called "red ring of death" problem - it gets overheated easily. My PS3 was running for more than 15 hours non-stop with no problems. Sometimes Xbox 360 becomes so overheated, that thermopaste on CPU melts, drips on motherboard and successfully shortcircuits it. That's why in some countries people call Xbox 360 "Coffin 360".
11). Besides all of this, I've seen disassembled Xbox 360 - regular PC architecture - Billy Gates is an uninventive nerd (as usual).
When I saw disassembled PS3 - it was a surprise - smart architecture, good cooling (don't buy external PS3 coolers - they make everything worse - original system is good), etc.

13). PS3 online is free, Xbox 360 - you have to pay.
14). There were reports, that 360 scratches discs. No reports on that in PS3.
15). The funniest thing, that right now there are no games for PS3, that show full potential of the console. Biggest games weigh only 25 GB (Xbox 360 will need more than 3 discs even for those).
16). On PS3 you can install other OS, such as Linux Yellow Dog, Ubuntu and others. Sony officially lets you do it. There is no such thing in 360.
17). PS3 HDD can be replaced easily with any 2.5" SATA 5400 RPM HDD (used in laptops). 250 GB will cost you around 170$. In 360 you have to buy exclusive HDD, where 20GB will cost you 100$.
18).Sony expects PS3 to stay on the market for, at least, 7-10 years. Also Sony reduces price now. There is a cheaper 80GB version of PS3.
19).Sony constantly upgrades PS3 software (free updates for OS) - you get new functions and improvements.
20). PS3 controller (sixaxis) has a motion control - you move controller - game responds. Wii has it, Xbox 360 - doesn't. PS3 is getting rumble controller (Dualshock 3) in 1st quarter 2008, Japan already has it. On www.ebay.com I saw those controllers on sale 50$ and up (unofficial import)
21).On PS3 you can help sick people by running Folding Home project. Wii and Xbox 360 didn't even think about it.
22).New 80GB is 399$ or 399 euro (depends on the region) - it has no backwards compatibility with PS2 games, has 2 USBs instead of 4, no built-in card reader, but it's the same PS3, strong, reliable, less noisy, different cooling system. The price is friendly. And one more thing the ps3 is way nicer!!!!
The Wii is for movement and is terrible at shooting games. PS3 is for graphics and RPGs and 360 is for graphics and shoot-em-up games. The Wii sounds fun but it hurts your arms and can cause danger around people. The PS3 costs too much. The 360 breaks down frequently. There are always bad sides of gaming systems. Also the Wii has ps2 graphics and I mean "bad graphics". So if your more into graphics then I would choose either PS3 or 360. but i prefer 360
Depends what you want to use it for, PS3 isn't the best for gaming but it also serves as all round entertainment device, as you can surf the internet, watch blue ray movies ect. Xbox 360 is hard core gamers if you ask me, games such as halo 3 gears/gears2 cod4 ect and live is what you use to play online, like $12 a month and you get to talk to friends online use msn and stuff like that, and the Wii is more of a novelty like for party games, very interactive fun but not great when you're trying to do some serious gaming.
So in conclusion, depends what kinda gamer you are :)
First of all, xbox 360 live is playing online. Like a chat room, only with a game. You probably shouldn't get a PS3, I've heard it sucks. A Wii needs a bit more addons than the 360 so ...
PS3 - no
xbox 360 - controllers are a bit pricey (console comes with one)
Wii - needs addons for different games (gamecube games) not sure about price.
