So many times I hear guys saying they don't want someone who's fat or someone who's feminine. I understand they have their personal preferences for friends and whatnot, but I wanna know why do some of these guys feel being fat or feminine is so wrong, that it's not worth dating or being friends with someone?
I have no problem with gay guys of any sort. I do have a problem with some of these guys out here who think they're so hot, that they can criticize anybody and anything. When are some of these guys gonna get off their high horse and grow up!!! I think this is one thing in the LGBT community that keeps us from making progress, when we can't learn to respect and love one another, despite our differences.
It's because it's hard. If you date a fat or feminine guy then people will laugh. It doesn't look just right.
But IDGAS about that.

Or is this one of those love the sinners, hate the sin routines... just using different words to attempt to justify your politics that I should be farting potpourri and faerie dust. Removing my limits, boundaries, any sense of self to sacrifice my entire identity to only one community...

This is a really interesting question. My roommate my freshman year of college was gay. And he was extremely flamboyant. It didn't bother me at all because I even through I grew up in a conservative family (Polynesian, Mormon LDS) we were taught to love all people and we were not raised as bigots.
He and I were pretty cool, pretty much did our own thing because we didn't have much in common. I'm a big sports nut, I was extremely studious, and I worked a lot and only partied on the weekends. I was also fat. I was 6-4, 275 pounds when I stepped on campus. I typically wore dickies & jeans with a t-shirt and chuck taylors or maybe some board shorts depending on the weather. Very laid back, very casual.
My roommate was the exact opposite. He didn't understand sports at all, he partied all the time, he didn't need to study because this guy was so damn smart, and he considered shopping his job. He was short (he claimed he was 6-1 but in reality he had to be 5-11 because my little sister was 6-1 and in their pictures she is taller than him) and well built. My roommate was all into his clothes.
He and all his friends when they would come over it was like hearing my sisters as a kid. They would take forever to get ready. They would change like 5 or 6 times. And they all worked out. Besides shopping and clubbing, the only other thing I'd hear them talk about was working out.
Ultimately I am thankful because I joined his crew team and I lost almost 70 pounds in less than a year. Didn't change how I ate or anything like that, but there is something to be said about padding outrigger/crew year round 6 days a week. Also, the training (running, lifting) that comes with it.
I asked him about his (and his friends) infatuation with appearance and in their words, because they are snobs. It's a title my roommate held in high regard. I'm not saying all gay men who are in shape feel that way. Just the few in the tiny group I met. He was a cool guy, but quirky in that I think there is a certain elitism that comes with being attractive & fit and he seemed to feed of it.
I can't speak about that attitude in terms of the LGBT community and it's affect on its cohesiveness (or lackof) but I can say it's something I noticed in my small experience living with a gay man for 2 years.
This is a natural desire with most. A girl 'd not like a boy who looks or behaves like a girl and same for man. A man won't like a woman who looks like a man and behaves that way. But a bisexual won't have such a problem. He 'd find both the pleasures from one. As for size, who 'd like a fat person unless u urself r fat.
That is not unique in the gay community.
