If we are persecuted-it means that we are doing what we are supposed to in the eyes of the Lord. Christians will be mocked and persecuted in the end times and we shouldn't be angry with them we should pray for them.

If you read questions by non-christians, you'll see that everyone gets blasted here. It probably seems to you like you're being picked on, because most of the atheists here are former Christians, and so that's the religion we are familiar enough with to criticize.
Certainly you should expect just THAT. Were it not so, who exactly would be saved from what?
YA is the last place you should look for doctrine. You should be established in doctrine, prior to coming to the battle. To come to battle without armor is to relinquish yourself to defeat before you even hit the field.

Mainly because Christians are the opposite of atheist and vice versa. Opposites don't always attract. Sometimes they actually fight. Christianity teaches to be tolerant, loving, forgiving and patient so we have a command as how to respond to the attacks and criticism and it would be best if we followed the example left to us.
People are tempted everyday...maybe they are trying to break others spirits, because they have nothing more than evil in their heart. I hope that's not it, but in my small mind I like to think they are coming back to R&S everyday, trying to find the answer God has for them. The Lord works in strange ways.
When someone takes a swing at me, I swing back. Christians are not exclusive to this. I've bashed muslims, buddhists, and wiccans alike. I don't think I've bashed hindus yet, but give me time. It just so happens that christians are the majority religion in the country I live in (about 75%), so about 75% of my ire will be aimed at them.

If you get a direct answer from an Atheist and it conflicts with you religious beliefs, do you think they are making fun of you?

Why do Christians get on R&S and make fun of everyone they don't agree with?
Atheists generally are not making fun of Christians but rather of the flawed logic used by some Christians. Other religions are not as prone to this, and if they are, they do not have the same amount of power in our government so it doesn't matter as much.
Well I have seen them make fun of other gods but I think the reason is the vast majority is against Christians is because 1) Christians are the most arrogant
2) the vast majority of theists here are self-professed Christians and
3) Christians spend a large portion of all their questions here attacking others, including atheists
You actually believe that the one incident you observed is representative of all that goes on in YA? Atheists report christian answers they don't like, christians report atheist answers they don't like, and I am sure this goes on for other viewpoints and forums too. This ridiculous pettiness goes on on all 'sides'.
YA isn't biased. They don't even read the answers that get reported, they just delete them. If there is any bias it is toward bone-idleness.

I don't separate christians from any other religious group. All are equal to an atheist.
Any one person who tricks his/her own mind into a life of delusion is fair game.

But we're nicer to them, so they aren't as mean to us. Maybe if Christians were nice, they wouldn't open themselves up to riddicule either. We don't make fun of Rachel or Sparkles9 or any of the respectful Christians, because they have earned our respect by respecting us.

Most people on the net are from developed countries
the largest religion in the developed world is xianity
so most of the people on the net are either xian or from a xian background. People are going to target the subject they know most about.

you don't see ISLAM condemning other religion often , but sometimes i do see some , seldom though but usually only questioning the status of Jesus.
you don't see hindus , buddhist or taoist condemning saying other gods is fake either.
you don't see pagans or jews doing that too.
so you figure it out why
for one , you can believe what you want to believe , how real your religion is , is how real their religion is , it's not as though their prayer NEVER get answered before , and their god also answer them in yes/no/wait too.
so why go around condemning other religion , or force your belief ?
After all , Jesus said spread the gospel , not force the gospel on others , right?

Christianity is the religion that most atheists on this site have the most familiarity with. Indeed many of them were raised in Christian homes. But in my experience the majority of atheists' questions relate more to theism in general, or at least monotheism in general, than to one specific religion.
