Hi dvd_rw :)
I think you just need to remove the line from preset.lst , you dont need to replace it with anything , going by Paranoid2000s reply here :
http://outpostfirewall.com/forum/showpost.php?p=88580&postcount=11
from this thread: Enabled/Disable Windows XP Firewall (SP2) : delphi, firewall :: Application Layer Gateway(alg.exe) is not the service you should work with. kyrlean, you were partially right about alg service, but 2 services http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/Languages/Pascal/Delphi/Q_21517748.htmlHOME |

I guess by removing it you will have to create the rules for any programs / connections that may need to use it yourself.
Too bad I never noticed paranoids post before :o , right above my clueless post too, lol , I was still wondering what to do with this thing , thanks for bringing it back up..

Hello dvd_rw,
It is not a bug. It is in the preset.lst and to disable it you have to remove the Auto Next to Group: for Alg.exe so it does not load after being removed.
Thanks Goonman for the reply,
What should I change the group from auto to so that in case I need it agnitum asks me to allow it or deny it as for other applications.
Thanks,
dvd_rw
