I did send some good encouraging e-mails , for a group of people that contained words about how good , great , lovely people they are .. I had 2 kinds of responses :
the 1st type of response was them being sooo thankful and that they miss me and they will keep these words in their hearts for ever ... etc .
the 2nd type of response was : nothing at all .
Why the difference ?

Youve heard the battles over types of thread. Is there a difference in quality among the brands? You be the judge! Why would it make a difference?

it is the 'out of sight. out of mind' syndrome!!~!
Because people are different.
The 1st type are the type who respond to appreciation because they like it, enjoy it, are not intimidated by it, maybe need it to.
The 2nd type did not respond for a number of possible reasons: (1) They are uncomfortable with appreciation/praise from others; (2) they don't want to acknowledge it--to place themselves in a sort of debt to you; or (3) They enjoy being unresponsive. They may be the type that do not answer when talked to, for ego reasons.
Do you understand that answers to why are speculative. Actually, you are in a better position to answer your questions that I am since you know these people.
Not all people are the same.
That's the difference.
