Easy answer: Yes, it will work fine. There are two different types of internal hard drives. For desktops, a 3.5" (inch), and for laptops, a 2.5".
All laptops use the 2.5" standard, no matter how big it is (with the exception of the Macbook Air, which uses flash memory.)
Dreamwea...something was right. If they specs for the hard drives match, go for it.

When reading specs on each laptop, the keywords to look for are IDE (maybe Ultra ATA) vs SATA. If they're both the same type of interface, they'll swap over fine.
