I have been hurt badly by men in the past. Abused and taken advantage of, lied to and laughed at. I want to get past the hate I feel for men and have a boyfriend. Alas, I feel anger and hatred toward even nice men. But the same time feel aroused and in need of company and as if I enjoy their company.

Today I was with my mom and I was swimming with my sister. These men talked to mom for the longest time, just being friendly. I felt so annoyed and angry and when I went up there, she introduced me and I stood pursing my lips with my arms folded glaring at them, refusing to talk to them. They seemed to not want to talk to me anyway so I sat away from them.

My point is I want men to be close to me but I am so angry and annoyed if men even talk to me let alone want a relationship with me.

Give it time and don't chase after the butterfly with a net,wait and sit still,serene and one day one special butterfly will land on you.
Not all men are alike but given that experiences I can't blame you. But how can you be close to them if just seeing them makes you angry. The healing should start within you. If you try to forgive your past oppressors that would be a good start for trusting men again. It won't be easy and fast but if you start soon, the better. Good luck.
oh honey! Just because one guy is mean to you, doesn't mean that all of them are. I'm not married but I have had my Boyfriend for 2+ years and im very happy with it... plus, we r going to be adding a new baby girl to our "family" on February 22. All u have to do is... Don't ask people if you will ever... thats not what u should say. you should say... "CAN I ever.."
and yes u CAN bc u r the one in charge of yourself. Block that other guy out of your life and focus on a guy u really like then be nice and hang out a lot after that then guys will want to get closer to you. Just...
