There are a few ways that you could do this. One way is to use a wood burning tool and burn the lyrics into the wood. Another way is to go to an art supply store and purchase vinyl letters to write it out that way. You could use India ink and write it out if you have nice handwriting or you could paint it. Unique Laser Art:: This sheild is an excellent plaque- The bright wood and texture gained from engraving make it an impressive tribute to any photo or text. http://www.uniquelaserart.com/laser/engravedwood/HOME |
Have fun with this. I know she will love it because it came from your heart.
What you might try is to buy some iron on paper for your ink jet printer. Print up the lyrics you want and then iron them on the wood after it is painted black. Then cover with a clear coat.
One tip is to print trial pages on plain paper to get just what you want and then print the iron on for the actual job. The iron on stuff costs more and you don't want to waste any of it.
This will allow you to get fancy with different fonts etc.
