Well from my side its a big no. Buying something from a site is like buying something blindly. Firstly it takes more time , secondly you have to pay extra money for the transport, thirdly you are cheated sometimes and you cant do anything just because you are sitting so far ( experience )

Yes Im sure its safe as long as a reputable site. you need to consider though what happens if something goes wrong with the machine (wil the warranty still be honored locally in your country or do you have to ship it back to the states) and also, have you looked into the duty and taxes that may be charged on importing an electronic item? I am in Australia, and have looked at this a few times and the import taxes always bumped the price over what I would have paid locally.
