I recently installed a clean new copy of XBMC and when i go under audio or video all i see is Add Source...now before i installed this i had all sorts of menus like Shoutcast, Itunes, SMB Shares, etc, i really want to go back to the this and not having to manaully add sources, how can i go back to the old way? thanks
here is what i meant by the "old way" What's Up With Xbox Media Center: Native Dvd Support:: I would love to see some kind of dvdplayer like media player classic or so but then into the xbmc menu as seperate dvd player that opens directly the DVD so http://xbmc.blogspot.com/2005/02/native-dvd-support.htmlHOME | XBMC caught running on Compal's Jax10 MID - Engadget:: Dec 29, 2008 A selects, B goes back, triggers scroll through menus etc, etc. Still, if it takes you more than an hour to configure XBMC, http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/29/xmbc-caught-running-on-compals-jax10-mid/HOME |

but in english
im guessing it has something to do with the xboxmediacenter.xml but i have not been able to find it anywhere to download so i can test it, so any help is good
Why would you want that? You can add sources from the GUI and after you're done, you can disable the 'Add source'-button in Settings. Much easier! XBMC Media Center Final:: This takes a few seconds at most and it is possible to navigate with the keyboard, mouse or gamepad in the menus. xbmc media center http://www.ghacks.net/2008/11/20/xbmc-media-center-final/HOME | Xbox MediaCenter (XBMC) - SaiyaMan.INFO:: 14 posts - Last post: Apr 27, 2007Go to most down menu (launch Menu>Apps>Xbox MediaCenter) & XBMC However, XBMC can be put on main menu Evolution-X along with MS http://forum.saiyaman.info/index.php?showtopic=6755HOME |
If you REALLY don't want to add it all manually (which I can understand), take a gander at this:
http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/index.php?title=Adding_Media_Sources#Through_Sourc es.xml xbmc-addons - Google Code:: XES (XBMCEyetvScraper) is a video plug-in for XBMC to view your Eyetv library from XBMC's video menu with the meta data, icons and thumbnails from Eyetv http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-addons/source/browse/trunk/plugins/video/XBMCEyetvScraper/ReadMe1.5.rtf?spec=svn425&r=425HOME |
sources.xml goes in your UserData folder, it contains the bookmarks (recently renamed to sources) like xboxmediacenter.xml did
HTH
thanks i used jmarshall's idea and i figured out what to do..i got it how i wanted it...im just picky and i have to have it the way i was used to
You only have to add them once.
If you can't be bothered doing that, then just grab sources.xml from an old build and dump it in userdata/
Note that some of the filemanager sources may be displayed twice though (the local drives are auto-added now).
rtfm.
you get back to the 'old' evil way simply by adding them sources yourself.
i see what you mean, but is there a way to where i can just go back to the old way, any file? or something else
